What You Need

  • 1 cup The Makhana Story (Original or Fire Chapter), lightly crushed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, deseeded & chopped
  • 1 tbsp green chutney
  • 1 tsp tamarind chutney (sweet)
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Handful of sev (thin noodle snack)
  • Fresh coriander, chopped
  • Chaat masala to taste

How To Make It

  1. 1Take The Makhana Story makhana and lightly crush half of them. keep some whole for crunch contrast.
  2. 2In a bowl, mix onion, tomato, green chutney, tamarind chutney, and lemon juice.
  3. 3Add the crushed and whole makhana. Toss gently.
  4. 4Top with sev, coriander, and a generous sprinkle of chaat masala.

Tip:For Jain Friendly: skip onion and garlic, use Salt & Soul makhana, and add pomegranate seeds instead.

What You Need

  • 1 cup The Makhana Story Salt & Soul
  • 1 small cucumber, finely diced
  • 1 small tomato, deseeded & diced
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp roasted peanuts

How To Make It

  1. 1Dice cucumber and tomato. Keep them as dry as possible. pat with a towel if needed.
  2. 2In a serving bowl, combine Salt & Soul makhana, cucumber, tomato, and pomegranate.
  3. 3Squeeze fresh lemon juice, add chaat masala and green chili.
  4. 4Toss everything together gently. don't crush the makhana.
  5. 5Garnish with mint leaves and roasted peanuts. Serve within 2-3 minutes for maximum crunch.
Tip:This is already Jain friendly with Salt & Soul. For extra protein, add some boiled chickpeas.

What You Need

  • 1 cup thick Greek yogurt (or hung curd)
  • 1/2 cup The Makhana Story Original
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • A handful of blueberries or strawberries
  • 1 tbsp honey or jaggery
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (soaked)
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • A drizzle of almond butter (optional)

How To Make It
